JUST ASK KIKY is all about providing you with resources that will help make every day that much easier.
How to Get a Passport:
Passports are required for all persons traveling to any destination not considered US territory. So that means kids and babies too. Also, it's just good to have one. You’ll need to apply in person if you are applying for a U.S. passport for the first time. Make sure to check Covid requirements before showing up. Appointments may be necessary. Certain post offices have a passport application office. I am providing basic information for more details you must visit the federal passport website or a passport processing location http://travel.state.gov/passport/

-
Go to http://travel.state.gov/passport/for details on requirements for passport. Applications can be partially completed online or at your local post office - which is where u would apply. The process takes 4-6 weeks so the sooner you apply the better. If the passport is needed sooner, there is a $60 expedite fee or if you have an actual passport office in your city, you may have same day options.
A birth certificate is required for ALL applicants. You will be mailing that original birth certificate off to the US Passport Division and they will send it back when they send you the passport.
For All Minors:
Each minor child shall appear in person. REMEMBER BOTH PARENTS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE TIME YOU APPLY FOR A MINOR OR A CONSENT FORM IS REQUIRED FROM THE NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT.
The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or seaports-of-entry and is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book.
